At Ailola Buenos Aires we want our students to be part of the bigger picture. That's why we've designed our Spanish evaluations in Buenos Aires on the internationally recognized Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Read on to find out where you fit!

Ailola Buenos Aires Language Levels

With active participation in classes, conversations with native speakers, activities and excursions, and regular completion of homework, you're bound to see your Spanish language level skyrocket in Argentina! Just to be sure, we offer a Spanish language level test at the conclusion of your course to see if you've progressed. Our course structure is divided into the 7 language levels of the CEFR. These are:

A0 – Absolute Beginner As a solid basis for future language studies, you'll learn fundamental grammatical and communicative structures in Spanish, as well as aspects of local culture.

A1 – Beginner Through interaction with native speakers and structured learning, you'll develop the ability and confidence in basic communication in familiar environments.

A2 – Elementary With present, past and future tenses, you'll grasp the ability to maintain a simple conversation in familiar environments and in common daily situations.

B1 – Intermediate Here you'll develop linguistic competency and communicative ability, engaging in conversations on familiar topics and obtaining improved understanding of spoken Spanish.

B2 – Upper Intermediate You'll gain the necessary linguistic and cultural skills to communicate effortlessly with native speakers and to effectively structure oral or written discussions.

C1 – Advanced To defend your position in more complex discussions, you'll employ learnt elements of the language fluently and effectively for social, professional and academic purposes.

C2 – Proficiency Here you'll express yourself effectively and correctly at a bilingual level close to that of a native speaker with the ability to differentiate finer shades of meaning.
